Flavour: Konrad has a distinctive flavour, aroma and brown colour that comes from the ripening culture that is based on Konrad's Stout.
Description: Washed-rind cheese made from day-fresh, organic, raw milk, matured with stout. Konrad matures under natural conditions in our own cheese cave under the cheese factory. Every other day, the surface of the cheese is treated with a ripening culture based on Konrad's Stout. The culture is developed in the cave, giving the cheese its distinctive flavour, aroma and brown colour. Konrad is first matured for six weeks. Then it is wrapped in waxed paper to finish maturing. We use cow's milk from Leikvoll Økologiske and Konrad's stout from the brewery Lervig Aktiebryggeri.
