The Cheese WC will be held in Trondheim on 26-28 October 2023. It is organized by HANEN in collaboration with Oi! Trønder Food and Drink and Norwegian Gardsost.

Over 4,000 cheeses from all over the world fight for the title, 250 judges decide!

About the ROOSTER

HANEN is a nationwide business organization for businesses in rural tourism, farm food and inland fishing in Norway. The organization has a wide range of member companies across Norway and currently has over 550 members. HANEN organizes 35 of the larger farm cheeseries in Norway and the Rørosmeiriet. HANEN was responsible for the study trip to WCA 2016 in San Sebastian where Tingvollost's Kraftkar won and was the main organizer of WCA in Bergen in 2018 (Cheese Championship) where Ostegården's Fanaost won.

 

About OI Trønder food & drink

Oh! Trøndersk Mat og Drikke AS will further develop Trøndelag as the country's most exciting food region so that it provides added flavor and added value locally, nationally and internationally. Oh! shall contribute to increased value creation within the food sector based on raw materials and culture from the Trønder region.

 

About Norwegian Gardsost

Norsk Gardsost is a nationwide organization for Norwegian artisan cheese and farm dairy. Norsk Gardsost must look after and promote the members' common interests within quality and finance and otherwise represent the members vis-à-vis the governing authorities, other organizations and society in general. Norsk Gardsost will show how artisanal dairies are important for value creation and as carriers of tradition. Norsk Gardsost organizes most of those who work with small-scale milk processing in Norway, and works to improve the framework conditions for this industry.
