DescriptionThe cheese is very suitable for melting, and this is the cheese that we use in "Skråpå-tå", our well-known special menu on the farm. Vellagret Sæterost (Well-matured Sæterost) got a place in the finale, Supergold in the World Cheese Awards in 2018 and is therefore one of the world's best cheeses! Lagra Sæterost (Matured Sæterost) won bronze in its category at the same Awards. We have, among other things, 3 gold medals in the Norwegian Cheese Championships for our cheese that is made and matured here at the mountain farm.
