Orkladal Ysteri
Orkladal ysteri is a farm cheese diary from Orkdal in Sør-Trøndelag. We produce soft washed-rind cheeses, hard matured cheeses with different degrees of maturation, blue cheeses, caraway cheese and frying cheese. We tell a story by having historical names for our cheeses.

Sjenald
Soft cottage cheese. Enjoy it with biscuits, nuts and honey/jelly. Can be heated in the oven and eaten liquid as a dip.
Skjenald is the name of the home farm of the founder of Orkladal cheese. The name probably means "to shine" (yellow and round like the sun). Skjenald won gold in the NM for farm cheese in 2016 and gold in the WC in 2018!

356 m. with fantastic views over
Orkla, Orkanger, Råbygda and Orkladal ysteri. Rokoll achieved silver at the national exhibition for farm cheese in 2009, bronze in 2011 and silver in the NM for farm cheese in 2015.
Svoger Bård
Svoger Bård is a mild cheese that tastes like a lot of milk. Can be reminiscent of camembert in consistency and taste. Can be used on a slice of bread or on shortbread and biscuits.

Gelmin (Gjølme farm) was one of King Sverre's royal farms in the 12th century and mentioned in Snorre's royal sagas. Gelmin won bronze at the national exhibition in 2011 and silver at the National Championships in 2016

Semi-hard cheese with caraway. Taste it on biscuits/bread with honey or jelly/marmalade. Cecilia Sigurdsdatter was King Sverre's sister, king's daughter and king's mother. Born around 1150 and brought up on the farm Gelmin (Gjølme) in Orkland. She received the farm as a gift from her brother, Sverre, and she married Bård Guttormsson. They had a son Inge Bårdsson (king of Norway from 1204–1217). Sister Cecilia won bronze in the NM 2016 and silver in the WC 2018!

Høvding Sverre xo is a cheese that has matured for longer than 12 months.
It can be finely sliced in salads, used on the cheese board, grated on soups and pasta. Feel free to eat it with something sweet such as jelly or honey and a good full-bodied drink.
Got bronze at the NM in farm cheese in 2015, silver in 2016, bronze in the NM 2019 and bronze in the WC 2018! Received the specialty label from Matmerk in October 2015.

Høvding Sverre aged is a cheese that has matured for 6-12 months.
It is a very versatile cheese that can be used for everything. It can be sliced, grated and au gratin and is Orkladal ysteri's bestseller. Eat it with something sweet like jelly or honey.
The cheese won silver at the National Exhibition for farm cheese in 2013 and bronze in 2015. Received the specialty label from Matmerk in October 2015.
