Snertingdal Ysteri

Snertingdal Ysteri is an old cheese factory from 1919 that has been restored from 2018 until today. We have started the cheese production up again, like they did 100 years ago. Here, we are preserving a strong cultural history and protection of buildings, creating jobs in the village, protecting the environment and bringing back the cheeses produced in this building.

Norsk Grillost is a firm cheese that is perfect for roasting and grilling and which has a wonderful roasting crust. The cheese is made from Norwegian milk from Namdalen and inspired by Halloumi - a cheese that is used a lot in Cyprus and the Middle East. Perfect for dinner either as a side dish or as an alternative to meat. Serve hot straight from the grill or frying pan.

Lygre Livsgard produces organic brown goat cheese, organic goat's milk ,kefir and organic quark (fresh cheese). The milk comes from goats that are allowed outdoors all year round, and are with their babies during the day.
