Here at Ystepikene, we run our own farm dairy at Varhaug in Jæren. Under magnificent skies by green fields, we produce cheese using milk from our own cows.

Orkladal ysteri is a farm cheese diary from Orkdal in Sør-Trøndelag. We produce soft washed-rind cheeses, hard matured cheeses with different degrees of maturation, blue cheeses, caraway cheese and frying cheese. We tell a story by having historical names for our cheeses.

Jakobsplass

Jakobsplass is located 930 meters above sea level. High up and free, with a fantastic view. Because we didn't build a road here until 1982, it was natural to continue processing the milk at home.

Selbu blå kraftig

This cheese is somewhat stronger than the original Selbu Blå Smaksrik, and has a semi-firm consistency. Selbu Blå Kraftig is matured in approx. 8 weeks to get extra fullness and taste.
