Tjamsland Gård Ysteri
We produce cheese and yogurt using cow's milk from our own cows. We currently have six dairy cows, which means that we can take extra good care of the cows. We also believe that the taste of the milk from Sidet Trønder and Nordlandsfe is particularly good, which of course characterises the flavour of our products. Jersey milk is known for its high protein and fat content, and its mild and delicious taste. Milk from these two cow breeds together helps to give our cheeses and our yogurt their unique and delicious taste. Our philosophy is that we will make the best cheeses and the best yogurt.
Therefore, we do not add spices or jams or oils to any of our products. We make them plain and they are organic. All products we produce are approved by Debio.
The cheeses Rosalita and Rødlin have been given the Speciality label for unique taste. Rosalita won gold in the World Cheese Awards 2018, gold in the Norwegian Cheese Championships 2015 and silver in 2016 and 2017. Rødlin won silver at the 2018 World Cheese Awards.
