Jakobsplass
Jakobsplass is located 930 meters above sea level. High up and free, with a fantastic view. Because we didn't build a road here until 1982, it was natural to continue processing the milk at home.

Mjølkeprim is a very local product that is only cooked in Hallingdal and the surrounding area. This is a brown cheese that is cut into thick slices and served with coffee food - delicious on freshly fried waffles or slices! In the milk premium, the whole milk is boiled in, the curd is not removed. This makes it quick to boil and less shelf-stable, but the milk prime can be frozen. The owners boiled milk first on the first and last day at the støl, when they had to quickly take care of the day's milk.

Many people think of prim as something you spread on a slice of bread, but the sweet prim from Jakobsplass is a brown cheese. He is made from cow's and goat's milk with a little sugar added - as you can tell from the name - and cooked in the old fashioned way in a wood-fired kettle.
What is luxury? It might be possible to replace another brown cheese, with Søtprim from Jakobsplass.
