Ostemaker Øverli

The dairy at Øverli Gård (Øverli Farm) is the only farm dairy in Finnmark county, maybe the northernmost in the world. Ivar took over the family farm in the Pasvik valley in 1980 when he was 23 years old, and started the milk production in 1986, after his parents had chosen to suspend it in 1975. The farm is one of the farms founded during World War II by Ivar's father. Throughout his childhood, he and his brothers helped with the work in the fields during the summer. The days were much longer back then, so there was always time for play, fishing and outdoor activities.
