Krogedal ysteri

The farm is located in beautiful nature in western Norway a little up in the mountains east of Sandnes, is run as an ordinary farm for the area with milk production and sheep farming. The sheep graze at home in spring and autumn meadows, and in the summer the sheep graze in the mountains in Sirdal.

The cheese adventure started with a fascination for Norwegian mountain farming tradition, where in very simple buildings in the mountains, they conjured up delicacies of world-class cheese. The love of cheeses like camembert and the curiosity about how such a cheese is made led me to taking cheese courses first in Stavanger and afterwards in Aurland in Sogn. In the autumn of 2020, we were ready to sell our first cheeses.
