A. Idsøe
In addition to having the country's longest meat counter, A. Idsø meat and sausage shop also claims to have the city's best cheese counter. Stavanger Ysteri:
Located in an old disused packaging factory in the eastern district.
Ysteriet was established by Lise Brunborg in 2015 and has won several awards for its artisanal cheeses. Today, a fixed range consists of five cheeses, but with close collaboration with restaurants and producers, new special products are constantly being developed. The cheeses are made from daily fresh raw milk and are served in restaurants all over the country.
The dairy has a small cafe and a counter with goods from various local food producers in addition to its own cheeses.

Sven-Erik Renaa is an award-winning top chef who has put his unmistakable stamp of quality on the city's restaurant life.
In 2016, RE-NAA was awarded one star in the Nordic Michelin guide as the first restaurant outside Oslo. Today, Renaa is the only one in Norway that can boast two stars in the same exclusive company.

Hotel Britannia
Hotel Brittania has been considered the city's grand hall since 1870 and houses seven different food and drink concepts from fine dining to more informal concepts.
Common to all the eateries is a great focus on promoting Trøndelag's generous food platters.
In collaboration with Gangstad Gårdsysteri, they have also developed their own cheese which is only served in the hotel's various restaurants. Britannia Blå is an award-winning cheese with a fine, mild mixture of blue mold and brie.
