\n\t\t\tAvdem Gardsysteri\t<\/h2>\n\t

Avdem ligg i fjellbygda Lesja – \u00f8vst i Gudbrandsdalen, 600 m.o.h. Den opphavlege namneforma AbifahaimaR (den innbringande heimen) tyder p\u00e5 at garden er blant dei aller eldste i bygda, om lag like gammal som v\u00e5r tidsrekning. Sidan slutten av 1700-talet har garden vore i same slekta, og dagens\u00a0brukarar er \u00e5ttande generasjon.<\/p>\n

Traditionally, it was the women who milked the cows, made cheese and churned butter, and in the summer this important work took place on the mountain farm. In the late 1800s, a local dairy was also founded here in the village.\u00a0It was Siems Meieriforening, which sold butter to Kristiania (today\u2019s Oslo) and even exported to England! Avdem Gardsysteri is therefore based on a diverse tradition.<\/p>\n
