Gr\u00f8ndalen G\u00e5rd is a family business. Here, organic farming, good animal welfare and resource management are our top priorities. We have three core values on our farm: PROUD, HEALTHY and CARING. These values characterise the people, animals, products and the environment. The most important thing for us is that the cow gets to be a mother to her calf. Cows and their calves go indoors and outdoors as they want to all year round, and sleep on soft straw beds. The mother\u2019s happiness, grazing and being outdoors are essential to the quality and taste of the meat and milk. We try our best to manage and utilize the resources on the farm in a sustainable way.<\/p>\n

It has also led to getting our own biomass heating system, solar collectors and a solar cell system.<\/p>\n

We are also recommended by Dyrevernalliansen (the Norwegian Animal Protection Alliance) and were the first in Norway to get Dyrevernmerket (the Animal Protection Label) on our products. The farm has 19 cows and 20 calves\/young cows and their food is grown at 340 decares (340\u00a0000 m2).<\/p>\n

The animals graze on 170 decares (170\u00a0000 m2) of natural, cultivated meadows in a ravine landscape down towards the river Glomma.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"Gr\u00f8ndalen\n
