Astrid grew up in \u00d8vre Gangstad, and she has run the farm with her husband Perry since they took over the business in 1983. Astrid's grandfather bought the farm in 1913, so there are over 100 years of history in the walls. The farm has always produced milk, but after a while, they wanted to create more jobs, and in 1998, the country's first authorized farm dairy based on cow's milk was opened.<\/p>\n

Today, their son Ole Morten has taken over management of the farm, while daughter-in-law Maren works in the dairy. Here, there is a close collaboration between two generations. There are now 12 full-time jobs in the cheese factory and 2 full-time jobs in the traditional running of the farm.<\/p>\n

The cheese from Gangstad is today delivered directly to selected shops and restaurants across the country, and it has received a number of prizes and awards.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"Husfrua\n
