Skansen Gård

Skansen Gård was traditionally known for its sweet and tasty brown goat cheese, and this is the reason why I started producing cheese. Everyone who came to visit said that they remembered when they were little and used to get in a car together to drive to Skansen to buy cheese. Most people remember the brown cheese best, but the white cheese was popular too.

During the war, they were told not to sell to the Germans, so when they suddenly stood in the kitchen and pointed at the white cheese, the milkmaid shook her head. In the end, the Germans took a piece of cheese, but they left some money behind.
