The Cheese WC will come to Trondheim on 26-28 October 2023.
Cheese lovers from all corners of the world gather in Trondheim when over 4,500 cheeses fight to be named the world's best cheese! Follow along here at Ostalandet for the latest news!

World Cheese Awards
Omtrent 4500 oster skal bedømmes av 250 dommere fra inn- og utland. Ostene fordeles ut over flere bord hvor ulike dommerteam smaker seg gjennom ostene og identifiserer gull, sølv og bronse-oster, samt at de velger ut én ost på hvert bord som skal videre til superfinalen. Bedømmingen foregår på fredagen og er åpent for publikum med dags- eller festivalpass.
The super final
The 16 best cheeses will be tasted by a panel of judges, live on stage, and the world's best cheese will be chosen. Open to anyone who has purchased a ticket.

Cheese scene
Throughout the day, there will be features from the Cheese Stage, which stands near the farm and craft cheeses in the Mathallen. From the stage, you can hear the cheesemakers talk about their cheese, taste cheeses, take courses in cheese and drinks and enjoy other features that trigger the mind and palate. This is for you who work in the public administration of agriculture, business development within food/drinks Municipality, counties, Innovation Norway, organisations, commercial gardens and the like as well as the private sector within the food industry.
Bransjemiddag
Oste-VM is pleased to invite the industry to dinner at Scandic hotel Lerkendal at 20.00, Friday 27.10.23. Mingling from 19.00 with actors in the food and drink industry, both Norwegian and international. This dinner will run parallel to the judges' dinner at Britannia.

10 a.m.-6 p.m.
World Cheese Tasting
Hosted by one of our World Cheese Awards judges, this tutored tasting amongst the 4,500 cheeses that have taken part in the competition, will teach you how to enjoy cheese like an expert. You will have the opportunity to hear about the entries, how the awards work and sample and taste 5 cheeses from the various families of cheeses. (Duration of the tours 40 min)
