Lamb chops with brown cheese and herbs

(2-3 servings).

50 g breadcrumbs/grating

25 gr. Gudbrandsdal cheese, finely grated

1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme and/or parsley)

½ tsp. salt

1 large egg

400 gr. lamb chops

2 tablespoons of butter

2 tablespoons of oil.

This is what you do:

Mix breadcrumbs, brown cheese, salt and chopped herbs in a bowl. Beat the egg in a separate bowl. Dip each cutlet in the beaten egg and then dip them in the breadcrumb mixture. Remember to cover all sides with the mixture.

Then melt the butter and oil over medium heat in a large frying pan. Add the breaded chops and cook for two and a half to three minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.

Serve immediately with butter-steamed peas or asparagus and creamy mashed potatoes or potato au gratin.
